A small perennial plant, well acclimatised in Central and Western Europe, which likes sandy soil and sunny areas. Prized in ancient Egypt and Greece, it was also considered sacred by the Gallic druids. Its delicate, light white flowers with a yellow heart give us an exceptional essential oil, with powerful floral aromas and a mixture of warmth and sweetness

Note

Do not confuse it with Wild Chamomile, Ormenis mixta, or Moroccan Chamomile; or with German Chamomile or Matricaria, Matricaria recutita. Another rare but possible confusion is with the essential oil of Annual Tansy, Tanacetum annuum, sometimes also called Moroccan Chamomile or Blue Chamomile.

Precautions for use

  • Food supplement. Not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose.
  • Not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy
  • Risk of allergy (limonene): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use).
  • Avoid contact with the eyes.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
